FRAME CARE

FRAME CARE

How to properly care for your framed specimen and ensure it lasts

1: Avoid leaving your frame in direct sunlight, the UV rays can AND WILL fade the colours on the specimen and also may encourage humidity inside the frame. Say it with me, no sunlight!

2: In the unlikely event of mites, put the frame inside the freezer for 1-3 days to kill the little freaks. If you don’t, they will eat your framed specimen from the inside until it disintegrates and then they’ll have the taste for blood and come for you next.

3: (Unless you’re a dead insect, they WON’T actually come for you… don’t worry)

4: Keep out of high humidity areas like bathrooms and kitchens, humidity may lead to mold on the specimen. If mold occurs, a cotton bud with some Aceton on it should do the trick!

5: If you're not hanging it, store the frame flat, face up in a dry, dark place
